About The ‘Pearl of Keve’ SPA Water
Ráckeve SPA water
The “Pearl of keve” thermal-
and natural mineral water
Remedial effects
Coming from a depth of 1040m below the Aqualand, the 52oC hot thermal water, proved to have healing properties, was discovered in 2007. After a long procedure of researching, sampling and laboratory testing, it was certified as spa water by the Director-General of the National Directorate of Curative Places and Spas under the NPHMOS in the same year on December 6, as both temperature and ionic composition exceed the required threshold limits of 30oC and 1000 mg/liter.
Due to its high temperature and to the content of sodium hydrogen carbonate, the spa water of Ráckeve is good for treating locomotor system diseases and disorders as well.

Biological effects
By dilating the veins, the resulted congestion promotes local metabolism, and not only does it accelerate the flow of cell-friendly materials, but also the excretion of waste matter – e.g. inflammatory compounds. The congestion in organs boosts metabolism and their functioning as well.
Due to the water’s temperature, it decreases high muscle tones and eases the deriving pain, resulting in the enhancement of trajectories of the belonging joints; but it also loosens the tissue, which again – accompanied with proper body exercises – enhances and increases joint trajectory.
Being detached from the sodium chloride, the negatively charged chloride ions enter the body and attach themselves to positively charged particles, such as tissue acid wastes, and extract them through the skin – thus stimulating and activating the body’s immune system. Among the trace elements, the water’s chemical analysis has indicated the presence of metaboric acid and silicic acid. The former plays a vital role in bone development, and being deficient from the chemical substance the body gradually increases the amount of calcium and magnesium discharges - a main cause for bone deficiency.
Due to the infant state of relating research, little is the literature available that deals with the biological effects of the silicic acid. According to some, however, it primarily stimulates the skin by enhancing its capacity for regeneration and resistance, reducing itchiness, and making it tighter. Other literature attributes the silicic acid with anti-inflammatory impacts as well
Taking the biological effects into account, hydrotherapy is suggested in the following cases: spinal disk problems, spinal erosion and accompanying disorders, joint erosion, chronic soft tissue rheumatism, tendonitis, tendon sheath inflammation, bursitis, ligament inflammation, chronic endocarditis, chronic golfer’s and tennis-elbow, calcium deficiency, chronic ovaritis, inflammation of the uterus, chronic prostatitis, chronic dermatitis, psoriasis, or when pre-treating joint space narrowing and enhancing recovery procedures after surgeries and injuries.
We do not suggest the hydrotherapy under the following terms:
Arrhythmia, heart muscle death within 3 month’s time, coronary heart disease, hypertension, phlebitis, acute locomotor system diseases and disorders, acute injury or inflammation of internal organs, medullitis, tuberculosis, malignant tumor disease, fever, subfebrility, myasthenia gravis and hemiparesis, acute multiple sclerosis, other communicable diseases, psychoses, middle and late stages of atherosclerosis, poor health or incontinence.
Each hydrotherapy session lasts not more than 30 minutes.
